Is a way out worth it?
A Way Out is a great co-op adventure to play through with a buddy. With all the cooperation needed and the moments you could share throughout this 6-8 hour story, the asking price of $29.99 is definitely worth it. The story may not be as impactful as Brothers, but it’s a worthy follow-up from the studio.
How hard is a way out?
A Way Out is not really the hard-hitting, serious, emotional tale of two convicts escaping prison it appears to be. Unlike Brothers, however, you’ll need a friend to play with this time round; A Way Out is only playable in co-op, either locally or online.

As such, A Way Out, Fares‘ new game, is something of a comedown. Essentially a boneheaded B-movie you play with a friend, it’s not a very good game by most standards, yet between its goofy charm and a handful of creative flourishes, it’s a hard one to dislike.

But even though it’s focused on its story sequences, A Way Out is decidedly not a “walking simulator”-style adventure – in fact, it’s more like a collection of largely enjoyable minigames. Sometimes you’re sneaking around in tall grass like Sam Fisher, choking out bad guys.

You just need to use the Friend Pass. First, invite your friend to play with you in the game’s main menu. After that, they need to download the demo version of A Way Out. (Note that you’ll both need active PS Plus or Xbox Live Gold accounts to play on console.)
Who should I play in a way out?
For most of the game, there’s really no difference in the story regardless of who plays Vincent or Leo. Both characters will be sticking together for the entire story, and you’ll always be able to see what the other player is up to since the game makes use of a constant dynamic split-screen feature.

In this mission you’ll pick a weapon for use later in the game. There are 4 weapons to choose from, and each player must have a different weapon. Additionally, there will be one spot during one of the Vengeance missions where you’ll have the option to switch weapons if you like.

Can they both live in a way out?
Only one of the two fugitives can survive. The ending of A Way Out depends on which of the two characters grabs the gun at the end to shoot the final bullet that puts down their partner.
Who dies in a way out?
In the game’s climactic battle, the older brother is mortally wounded, and dies before the younger brother can revive him with the Water of Life. The player, operating the bereaved younger brother, then buries the older brother using only one joystick and trigger—a physical reflection of an emotional loss.
