What kind of shotgun is Stevens Model 311?
Savage/ Stevens 311 is a very good, very plain double barrel. They are great hunting guns, and very reliable. They are not pretty and graceful like more expensive double barrel guns, but they were one of the most common farm guns for a generation or more. I have a couple 311a Stevens shotguns, 20ga and .410.

How big is the barrel of a Stevens 12 gauge shotgun?
Checks are held till cleared. For sale is a Stevens Model 311A side by side 12 gauge shotgun. Barrels are 28″ long. Left barrel is full choke and right is IM. The gun is in excellent condition with hardly any wear. Blueing on barrels is 90% , the receiver has original color case hardened finish with the original black trigger guard.
Description: Stevens (Savage) Model 311, side by side double barrel shotgun, 16 gauge, 28 inch barrel, 2 3/4 inch chamber. This is an older 311 with no serial number (which dates it to Pre-1968). The color case is mostly gone and a nice patina has settled in on the receiver.

My first experience with a shotgun was the 311. 30 years later, I brought one at auction for a song, as steel shot had just been made mandatory for gamebird (which I don’t bother with)
