What are the different formats in MTG Arena?
There are two primary format categories in MTG Arena, Constructed and Limited. Constructed formats require a deck that is built prior to joining a match. The deck must follow the rules of that match’s format. For example, Standard is a popular Constructed format in which legal cards come from recently released MTG Arena sets.
What is the difference between MTG Arena and All Access?
There is a subcategory of Constructed called Preconstructed, as well. In this format, decks are not built by players, but instead players select from a set of prebuilt decks provided in MTG Arena. All Access can apply to a variety of formats and changes access to cards for deck building.
How many MTG Arena cards do you need to start playing?
You won’t have many when you first start playing MTG Arena, though at least you get some starter cards and decks to get you going in Magic’s digital counterpart. And, let’s face it, if you’re reading this article then you’re probably a new player.
Is there a list of banned cards on MTG Arena?
Events on MTG Arena change regularly, so watch the MTG Arena schedule of events for what’s happening now and what’s coming soon! You may find a banned, restricted, or suspended card list in some formats. Banned cards are forbidden to use in a specific format on Magic: The Gathering Arena. Different formats can have their own lists of banned cards.

How do I enter a code in MTG Arena?
On the top right of the screen, you will see a „Redeem Code“ input Type in the code here and press enter. Most of the codes are case sensitive so ensure that everything is correct, you can also use copy/paste. You can get MTG Arena unique codes from some Physical products you can purchase in stores, these can only be redeemed once.
