Charizard has the advantage when it comes to speed and durability. It also has a type advantage over Blaziken. I should also mention Ash per usual fought like an idiot and kept Charizard close to the ground the entire fight.

Can Ash Greninja beat Charizard?
Ash’s Charizard vs. Ash-Greninja = Greninja wins low-mid difficulty. Ash-Greninja REGULARLY grappled with E4 Tier Pokemon and decisively beat them. He overwhelmed a CHAMPION, and rivals a Pokemon who is either on the same level as a (Non-Mega) Champion’s Ace or greater than that.
Is Blaziken better than fire and flying Pokemon?
Flying and Fire are quite redundant, whereas Fire and Fighting complement each other very well, specially considering Blissey exists. Blaziken is better than Charizard at physical sweeping, with Charizard offering only Speed and the risky Belly Drum over the chicken. All in all, I think they equal each other out.
Is Thunderpunch better than Charizard or Typhlosion?
Both of them do have rather shallow special movepool options, but Charizard’s Dragon Claw paired with Flamethrower has more to offer than Thunderpunch does. Typhlosion got shafted with his movepool, and unfortunately doesn’t have the potential to be as good as the other two.
