Sonic Chaos is non-canon since it’s stated that it takes place after Sonic 2. Except there’s no games between Sonic 2 and 3 (and Knuckles), or between 3 (and Knuckles) and 4, which has switched over to Modern style by then. Meaning that it has nowhere to be placed.
