Warum machen Zikaden geraeusche?
Am Hinterleib der Singzikaden sitzt das sogenannte Trommelorgan. Mit Muskelkraft setzen die Tiere dieses Organ in Schwingungen, direkt unter dem Singmuskel sitzt zudem ein großer Luftsack, wodurch die Zikaden die Resonanz ihres Gesanges steigern. Hauptsächlich dient das Zirpen dem Anlocken von Weibchen.
Sind Zikaden lauter als Grillen?
