Besteht CIN I länger als zwei Jahre, empfehlen Ärzte eine Operation (Konisation). Bei CIN II heilen 40 Prozent innerhalb von zwei Jahren von alleine aus, weitere 40 Prozent bleiben bestehen und in 20 Prozent der Fälle entwickelt sich daraus eine CIN III.
