The Xolo has three sizes – toy, miniature and standard, and two varieties, hairless and coated. The Xoloitzcuintli is AKC’s 170th breed. The name is pronounced show-low-etz-queent-lee. Chinito Jr., bred and owned by Valetska Radtke of New York City became the breed’s first and only AKC champion (from 1887-1959) on October 19, 1940.
