Can you take linezolid after stopping Effexor XR?

Currently take, or have taken within the last 14 days, any medicine known as an MAOI such as linezolid or methylene blue. Do not take an MAOI within 7 days of stopping Effexor XR.

Can you take Effexor XR with warfarin?

Abnormal bleeding: EFFEXOR XR and other antidepressant medicines may increase your risk of bleeding or bruising, especially if you take the blood thinner warfarin (Coumadin®, Jantoven®), a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAIDs, like ibuprofen or naproxen), or aspirin.

There is no body of evidence available from controlled studies to indicate how long patients with MDD, GAD, SAD, or PD should be treated with Effexor XR. It is generally agreed that acute episodes of MDD require several months or longer of sustained pharmacological therapy beyond response to the acute episode.

Venlafaxine is the trade name for the brand-name drug Effexor, which is used for the treatment of depression, generalized anxiety, social anxiety, and panic. Effexor XR is an extended-release tablet that should be taken orally once per day with food around the same time each day.

Monitor the patient for symptoms of serotonin syndrome for 7 days or until 24 hours after the last dose of linezolid or intravenous methylene blue, whichever comes first. Therapy with Effexor XR can be resumed 24 hours after the last dose of linezolid or intravenous methylene blue [see Warnings and Precautions (5.2)].
