Wollt ihr auf klassischem Wege Umbral-Engramme öffnen, geht ihr an den Dekodierer rechts und wählt „Entschlüsseln“ – eure Belohnung erhaltet ihr sofort. Wollt ihr allerdings Einfluss auf den Loot nehmen, ist der Prisma-Umformer links die bessere Wahl.

The one to the right, the Umbral Focusing console, allows you to open your Umbral Engram. Hold your horses though because there’s some nuance to this. Instead of just opening your engram and getting something totally random, you can focus them instead.
How do I get an umbral engram in Destiny 2?
The Contact Public Event on Io also has a very high chance of rewarding you with an Umbral Engram. You also get a free Umbral Engram when you upgrade the Prismatic Caster, but we’ll get to that later.
