Don’t have a PS2 but was given a PS3 and it worked really well on this since due to software patch it allows the PS3 to play Singstar PS2 discs, which is great for my mates when they visit. Next best thing to karaoke. And yes, we are older folks so the old Singstar discs are very relevant (LOL).
How good is the mic on the PS3 version?
The microphones work very well, they are not bluetooth but require a homing device plugged into PS3 by USB, which takes up a port. The only pain is if you disconnect it and someone in the house who plays Singstar isn’t aware of how to reconnect it. Other than that, it does the job well.
Does Rock Band 2 work with SingStar mics?
They work with Rock Band 1 and 2 as well, but the game does not support more than one mic so it can only be used the same way as a single mic. I bought these because my original SingStar mics were totally shot after 3 years of regular play.
